Trumpet Artist, Composer and Educator, Rick Overton is an Associate Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Improvisation at Tokyo College of Music in Japan, the place that he calls home.

This vivacious performer and composer has entertained audiences around the world with his own style and brand of music, which borders on cool and third-stream jazz.

Overton also is on the performing faculty at the International Music Festival at Viana do Castelo in Portugal where he

presides over the jazz and brass programs.
